SDGs in Asia and Europe: Localizing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) and the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA) (Romania) are co-organizing a seminar on ‘Sustainable Development Goals in Asia and Europe: Localizing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,' with the aim of promoting Asia-Europe dialogue on localizing the SDGs. Participants will discuss how to ensure a smooth transition from the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to the SDGs, and how to integrate the SDGs into national development strategies, as well as exploring multi-stakeholder approaches and financing options for achieving the SDGs. Speakers from India, Poland, the Republic of Korea and Viet Nam will share experiences with national implementation, civil society participation in SDG implementation and sustainable development. The event will bring together high-level representatives from government, civil society, the private sector, academia and other stakeholders from Asia and Europe.
