16 July 2024 virtual
SDG Global Business Forum

The virtual SDG Global Business Forum will provide a multi-stakeholder platform to leverage the power of the private sector and co-create business solutions to accelerate sustainable development in the remaining years of SDG implementation. The event will foster public-private dialogues in support of new alliances and partnerships.

The Forum will convene alongside the 2024 UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), which will focus on the theme, ‘Reinforcing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and eradicating poverty in times of multiple crises: The effective delivery of sustainable, resilient and innovative solutions’. The Forum will place special focus on the SDGs under in-depth review this year – SDG 1 (no poverty), SDG 2 (zero hunger), SDG 13 (climate action), SDG 16 (peace, justice and strong institutions), and SDG 17 (partnerships for the Goals).

The Forum will also take place at a key moment before the Summit of the Future. It will gather business inputs on key topics towards a reinvigorated multilateral system that is better positioned to positively impact people’s lives.

The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), the UN Global Compact, and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) will co-host the Forum.
