The roundtable is the first in a series of five events organized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN-DESA) and the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), to prepare New York-based delegates and observers to the UN for the 2013 High-Level Dialogue on International Migration and Development. This roundtable is organized in collaboration with the Governments of Mauritius and Switzerland, focusing on the evolution of the global migration debate, in particular its relationship to development, and presenting the results of UN, State-led and other relevant migration processes.
