The UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) is organizing this capacity building workshop for national policy makers and other stakeholders in Least Developed Countries (LDCs) in the region in view of the slow-down in their progress toward development goals since the global financial crisis of 2008. The workshop will promote awareness of the need for cross-sectoral coordination for achieving the aims of inclusive growth, decent jobs and reduction of inequalities, in the interests of reaching the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the subsequent post-2015 development agenda.
