Regional Workshop: Metrology and Technology Challenges of Climate Science and Renewable Energy

This regional event on 'Metrology and Technology Challenges of Climate Science and Renewable Energy,' coordinated by the Organization of American States (OAS), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) of the US, and the National Intitutes of Metrology of the ANDIMET (part of the Inter-American Metrology System, SIM), targets participants from industry, academia, and the public and private sectors of the member countries of the SIM. The workshop aims to contribute to: advancement of renewable energy technologies and low-carbon economic growth in the context of the Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas (ECPA); and reduction of the region's potential contribution to climate change, while promoting economic development. The workshop will focus on identifying measurement challenges relating to climate science and renewable energy, and developing related capabilities.
