This regional training workshop, organized by the Ministry of the Environment of Mali and the African Stockpile Programme in Mali, is targeting national experts on the Environmentally Sound Management of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and persistent organic pollutants (POPs) wastes from French-speaking African region. The objective of the workshop is to enhance the capacity of the participants on the concepts, principles and standards for the Environmentally Sound Management of PCBs and POPs wastes, as presented in the Basel Convention technical guidelines.
