Regional Capacity-Building Workshop on New POPs, the Process for Reviewing and Updating NIPs, and Reporting Requirements under the Stockholm Convention for English-speaking Africa

This workshop will seek to raise awareness on the recently adopted amendments to the Convention, which list nine new POPs in Annexes A, B and C, and which will enter into force on 26 August 2010,and on the implications at the national level of the new obligations arising herewith. The workshop will also offer an opportunity for participants to become familiar with the enhanced version of the online electronic reporting system in preparation for the next reporting deadline on 31 October 2010.
