This workshop, co-organized by the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) and the US Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), will bring together 30 leading providers of clean energy, energy efficiency, and climate data to discuss “linked open data” in the field of clean energy. The goals of the workshop are: to introduce participants to the concept of linked open data, which is a growing movement focused on using up-to-date technologies to share relevant information from a wide variety of online sources, and to make data free for use and re-use; and assess how the concept can be used to promote cooperation among organizations in the field of clean energy.
