The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the UN Collaborative Programme on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation (UN-REDD) are convening the first in a series of REDD+ Academies aimed at training REDD+ decision-makers in issues such as national REDD+ strategies, safeguards and stakeholder engagement. This session will bring together members of the Indonesian Parliament, environmental journalists, and REDD+ future leaders and practitioners from the sixteen UN-REDD partner countries across the region. The Academy will be supported by a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) to be launched in 2015.
