This informal planning meeting convened by the Global Islands Partnership (GLISPA) aims to bring together representatives interested in supporting preparations for the Island Summit proposed to be held during the eleventh meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the CBD (CBD COP 11) in Hyderabad, India, October 2012. This event will convene in the sidelines of the 16th meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA) of the Convention on Biological Diversity.
