CBA9 will take place under the theme 'Measuring and enhancing effective adaptation,' with sessions on, inter alia: measuring, linking and learning about adaptation effectiveness across scales; climate information services for effective adaptation; gender and vulnerable groups; indigenous knowledge, culture and adaptation; tools and techniques for measuring effective adaptation and resilience; evaluating ecosystem-based adaptation effectiveness; and estimating loss and damage. Other events include short films, a 'Fun Adaptation Finance Night' and a field trip on 24-25 April 2015. Hosted by the Government of Kenya, the conference is being organized by the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), the African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS) and the Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies (BCAS).
