This Congo Forum aims to evaluate the current investment and financing situation in the forestry sector in the country (at the macro and sector levels), and identify the main obstacles to private investment and actions to eliminate these constraints. Topics to be discussed with the participation of the stakeholders include: simplification of regulatory and administrative procedures; a more equitable and simpler tax regime; strengthening forest governance; and problems and solutions of small and medium forest enterprises.
