Nagoya Protocol on ABS COP/MOP-1

The first meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Nagoya Protocol on Access and Benefit-sharing (ABS) will be held during the second week of CBD COP-12. It will address, among other issues, the ABS clearing-house, compliance, capacity building and awareness-raising, and the need for and modalities of a global multilateral benefit-sharing mechanism.
