‘Monitoring by the People for the People: How can civil society and citizen-generated data drive accountability for the 2030 agenda?' will explore how to harness civil society and citizen-generated data to monitor the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event will discuss civil society collaboration to promote the use of civil society data for SDG monitoring, accountability and progress, including concrete action plans for activities and collaboration. The event will also introduce the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data and discuss its relevance for SDG monitoring and accountability. DataShift is organizing the event, which is convening on the sidelines of the UN Summit for the adoption of the post-2015 development agenda.
