The event is being organized by Peace Child International, Global Kids, TakingITGlobal and the EU delegation to the UN. It will showcase the ideas, thoughts and energy brought by youth to the process of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20), by reporting on the status of the mobilization of youth. It also will encourage a dialogue with the UN and other stakeholders on what the role of young people should be in the lead up to the conference. The event will feature presentations by youth leaders from around the world, including outcomes of regional youth preparatory meetings on Rio+20, Peace Child International’s global green business contest (GEEBIZ) and other initiatives, followed by an interactive debate.
