This meeting will consider and aims to advance the work on the draft technical guidelines on transboundary movements of electronic and electrical waste and used electrical and electronic equipment, particularly regarding the distinction between waste and non-waste under the Basel Convention. The outcomes of the meeting will be considered by the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the Basel Convention during its twelfth meeting in May 2015 in Geneva, Switzerland. Funding for the meeting is being provided by Japan.
