The Praia Group on Governance Statistics will hold its next meeting in May 2017. The UN Statistical Commission established the Praia Group in March 2015 (UNSC 46) with the objective of encouraging countries to produce governance statistics based on sound and documented methodologies. The Group is working to further develop the indicators for SDG 16 currently classified as Tier III. The May 2017 meeting will focus on the indicators for SDG targets 16.6 and 16.7.
