Making the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development Work: How to Build an Effective ‘Review Mechanism’

This second workshop is based on the first workshop of 20 February 2014, which was organized by the same group of countries in cooperation with IISD. On the basis of the results of the first workshop, the aim of this workshop is to move forward towards a discussion of the options available for the design of the High-level Political Forum's (HLPF) review mechanism. While the first workshop looked at the broad spectrum of issues relating to the review mechanism for HLPF, there are a set of key questions which will need to be answered if the debate is to converge around a limited and realistic set of options for design of the review mechanism that can be placed on the table. It is being hosted by the Permanent Missions of Egypt, Liechtenstein, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, the Republic of Korea and Switzerland, in cooperation with IISD.
