Organized by the Secretariat of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), this workshop aims to provide technical guidance and advice to the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) in addressing adaptation to climate change through the National Adaptation Programmes of Action (NAPAs), the LDC work programme and the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) process, through the exchange of information, and the promotion of regional synergies and synergies with other conventions. It will be preceded by a one-day preparatory meeting organized by the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) on 28 July, to discuss, among other issues, integration of biodiversity and climate change adaptation at the national level, progress in revising and updating national biodiversity strategies and action plans (NBSAPs) and synergies in implementing the objectives of all three Rio Conventions at the national level.
