Law, Carbon Markets and Sustainable Rural Development: Perspectives and Practices from Latin America & the Caribbean

This legal training workshop will be held during the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20), and is being hosted by the International Development Law Organisation (IDLO), with support from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). The aim of the workshop is to build capacity and supportive networks for sustainable development across Latin American and the Caribbean (LAC). Participants will, inter alia, receive training on the international law framework for climate change and the green economy, and receive guidance on developing tailored legal strategies for their own jurisdictions. Successful participants will be invited to join two new E-Learning Courses in Spanish and a LAC Regional Network of Legal Experts for the Green Economy. All training activities will be conducted in Spanish.
