This side event is being organized by the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the UN Global Compact, during the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20). The event will formally launch the Green Industry Platform, which is intended to act as a forum for bringing together government, businesses and the civil society to support the green industry agenda. The event will also announce the Green Industry Platform’s Advisory Board and signatories.
