The Koronivia intersessional workshop was scheduled to take place in March 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In its place, an information event on agriculture and climate change was held virtually, on 8 June 2020, as part of the June Momentum for Climate Change virtual events.
UNFCCC COP 23 in 2017 adopted a decision on the Koronivia joint work on agriculture, which requests the subsidiary bodies to jointly address issues related to agriculture, including through workshops and expert meetings, working with constituted bodies under the Convention and taking into consideration the vulnerabilities of agriculture to climate change and approaches to addressing food security.
