Under the auspices of RESPONDER, an EU funded project that deals with potential political, social and economic contradictions between sustainable consumption and economic growth, this multistakeholder process on Sustainable Housing will take place in Barcelona, Spain. Through participatory systems mapping, participants will explore issues including the impact of growth of financial investment in housing; the impact of economic growth and lifestyles changes on housing energy efficiency and material efficiency improvements of the last two decades; and the effects of social exclusion and mono‐fucntional organization to urban growth. RESPONDER is open to participation by policy makers, researchers, civil society and business representatives.
