ISMOM 2015

The 2015 edition of the International Symposium on Interactions of Soil Minerals with Organic Components and Microorganisms (ISMOM) will include more than 20 scientific sessions on topics such as organo-mineral interactions in soil, analytical and methodological advances in soil science, soil microbiology and agricultural greenhouse gas emissions. ISMOM 2015 is co-organized by: Commission 2.5 (soil chemical, physical and biological interfacial reactions) of the International Union of Soil Science (IUSS); the Canadian Society of Soil Science; and Association Québécoise des Spécialistes en Sciences du Sol (AQSSS). Convened every four years by IUSS and its partners, ISMOM brings together diverse “soil communities” under the cross-cutting theme ‘Soil Interfaces for Sustainable Development'. The aim of the symposia is to create an informal forum for exchange and discussion among scientists from ‘all facets of soil science,' including chemistry, biology, biochemistry, physics, ecology and environmental science. Previous editions have convened in Canada, France, Italy, China and Chile.
