The 17th annual conference of the International Sustainable Development Research Society (ISDRS) will be hosted by the Earth Institute, Columbia University, in partnership with the UN Division for Sustainable Development (DSD) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Institute. Speakers will include Christiana Figueres, Morten Wetland, Achim Steiner, Nina Fedoroff, Klaus Töpfer, Lester Brown, Sanjeev Chadha and Jeffrey Sachs. The 2011 conference theme is “Moving Toward a Sustainable Future: Opportunities and Challenges.” The results of the conference will be summarized in a white paper prepared by the scientific committee to inform the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20).
