IPCC Side Event: Applying Science to Sustainable Development

This side event at the Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development will involve IPCC Bureau members and authors, and is called ” Applying Science to Sustainable Development: How the IPCC brings science to the policy-makers”. During the side event, IPCC Bureau members and authors will discuss how the IPCC works and supports decision-makers and present findings of two recent Special Reports on managing the risks of extreme events and disasters to advance climate change adaptation (SREX) and renewable energy sources and climate change mitigation (SRREN). A panel discussion with authors and users will follow.
