This first meeting of the OEWG is charged with considering the implementation, development and enhancement of SAICM, and preparing the agenda for the Third International Conference on Chemicals Management (ICCM 3). Among other things, the OEWG is expected to consider proposed additions to the Global Plan of Action (GPA), nominations for emerging issues, the health sector strategy, reporting under SAICM, and the future of SAICM financing after the Quick Start Programme (QSP) ends. Technical briefings and regional groups will meet on 14 November.
