In the lead up to the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20) in June, this Workshop, organized by the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM), will explore issues related to households' access to energy, available technologies, and the financial and institutional frameworks needed to tackle energy poverty. The Workshop will also: consider the bi-directional relationship between energy access and poverty reduction; discuss the possible definitions of energy poverty; and review common measurement approaches for energy poverty.
