Organized by the German Development Institute/Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) and the Poverty Reduction, Equity and Growth Network (PEGNet), this workshop will explore how existing development pathways can be transformed so that they are more environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive. The workshop will seek to offer concrete policy recommendations in three areas: the effects of environmental-oriented policies on poverty; the effects of poverty-oriented policies on the environment; and environmentally sustainable and social inclusive development policies.
