The GEF International Waters Science Conference (IWSC) 2012, sponsored by GEF, IW-LEARN, UNEP, UNDP, UNU-INWEH and UNESCAP among others, is designed to allow policy makers and scientists space to discuss critical water issues. Discussions will provide outputs on issues ranging from: enhanced contribution of science to water governance systems; enhanced science contribution to understandings about linkages between water systems; methodologies of the GEF Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis and Strategic Action Programme (TDA/SAP); spatial planning and methodologies for environmental flows; and integrated green economy with future resource planning.
