This symposium, organized with the financial and organizational support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Institute for Sustainability and Peace of the UN University (UNU), in collaboration with the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), is designed to support a coherent implementation of the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from Their Utilization (ABS).
