This meeting will seek to contribute to global efforts to enhance sustainable development of the transport sector and to help curb the global growth of greenhouse gases and other emissions emanating from motor vehicles, in particular in metropolitan and other rapidly growing urban areas. It will serve as an intersessional meeting of the Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD).
