The Consortium for Improving Agriculture-based Livelihoods in Central Africa (CIALCA) and the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) Consortium Research Programme (CRP) on the Humid Tropics will be holding an international conference to take stock of the state of the art of agricultural intensification in the highlands of sub-Saharan Africa, and to chart the way forward for agricultural research for development in the Humid Tropics CRP and the CIALCA Consortium. The conference will have four themes: farming production unit components; integration of components of farming systems; drivers for adoption of agricultural intensification strategies; and knowledge-intensive approaches. The conference will be convened in English and French, with simultaneous translation available.
