The Intergovernmental Forum on Mining, Minerals, Metals, and Sustainable Development (IGF) is an outcome of the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD). The IGF is the only global intergovernmental policy forum in the mining/metal sector. It is a voluntary initiative established by national governments interested in promoting good governance in the management of mineral resources. It now has 43 member countries.
