The International Energy Agency's (IEA) Clean Coal Centre will present the results of its latest report 'CO2 abatement in the iron and steel industry,' by Anne Carpenter, in a webinar on Wednesday 11 April at midday (GMT). The report seeks to examine methods to abate carbon dioxide emissions in the coal and steel industry, specifically from the preparation of raw materials (coking, sintering and pelletising plants) and the production of liquid steel in oxygen or electric furnaces. The webinar will also cover direct reduction and smelting reduction processes, and iron-making in blast furnaces.
