How to Fund the SDGs through Fossil Fuel Subsidy Reform: From Rhetoric to Reality

The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) is hosting a webinar to discuss the role of fossil fuel subsidy reform in supporting the proposed Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants will explore opportunities for financing the SDGs through fossil fuel subsidy reform, which is recognized as a fiscal policy tool for domestic resource mobilization (DRM) in the SDGs. The event will also discuss the Friends of Fossil Fuel Subsidy Reform Communiqué, which calls for the removal of subsidies to fossil fuels.
