The UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), West and Central Sub-regional Offices, in conjunction with other UN Agencies in the region are convening the High-Level Meeting on the Establishment of a Sub-Regional Coordination Mechanism (SRCM) for the United Nations System-wide Support to the African Union and its New Partnership for Africa’s Development Programme in West Africa. The meeting will discuss modalities that aim to enable the UN Agencies to “Act as One” when providing support to the Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS), the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) and other subregional economic communities that are responsible for implementing the NEPAD framework.
