This Forum will be held in back-to-back with the 'Informal Consultation on IPBES and capacity building' and is organized by Malaysia Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) and Office of the Science Advisor, and supported by the Norwegian Environment Agency, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (NRE)-the Government of Malaysia, and the UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC). The meeting will focus on halting biodiversity loss and securing well-being through the incorporation of biodiversity and the ecosystem services it provides into the development agenda. The subsequent 'Informal Consultation on IPBES and capacity building' will aim to build further understanding and a convergence of views on how capacity building could and should be addressed in the context of IPBES.
