High-Level Event: Follow-Up and Review of the Post-2015 Development Agenda

Taking place soon after the anticipated adoption of the Post-2015 Development Agenda, this high-level event will discuss next steps in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a focus on the potential role of the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN) in assisting national governments to conduct follow-up and review of soil and land-related SDGs. The multi-stakeholder event will also develop common strategies for engagement in the run-up to the next High-Level Political Forum in 2016, the 71st UN General Assembly and beyond. The event will convene as part of the GLTN 6th Partners Meeting and is co-organized by, among other partners, the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS), UN-Habitat, the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), Landesa Rural Development Institute and the Global Land Indicators Initiative, with support from the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL). To increase the participatory nature of the event, the public is invited to submit questions via Twitter for the interactive panel (@IASS_potsdam #2030agenda).
