High-level Dialogue on Global Climate Transparency

The High-level Dialogue on Global Climate Transparency aims to sustain momentum for increased transparency action in the lead-up to the UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP 29). The event will convene during the 79th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA).

The COP 29 Presidency and the UNFCCC Secretariat will convene the Dialogue in collaboration with UN agencies and partners. The COP 29 Presidency has held regional and online workshops to support the key role of Biennial Transparency Reports (BTRs) in implementing the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF) of the Paris Agreement on climate change. This event will build on these events and offers an opportunity for parties to engage civil society, Indigenous Peoples, women, youth, and other key stakeholders in the transparency process.
