The fifth and final meeting of the UN Secretary-General's High-level Panel on Global Sustainability (GSP 5) is scheduled for 13-14 December 2011, in New York, US. At GSP 5 the Panel members are expected to approve their final report, for submission to the Secretary-General on 12 January 2012. The Panel's inputs will feed into inter-governmental processes, including preparations for the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20), and the annual meetings of the Conference of the Parties (COP 17) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
