As the Group of 7 (G7) Presidency in 2025, Canada will host the G7 Summit in Kananaskis, Alberta, in June. Canada intends to work with G7 partners on common priorities, including building economies that benefit everyone, fighting climate change, and managing rapidly evolving technologies.

The G7 Summit is an international forum held annually for the leaders of the G7 member States of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, and the US. Represented jointly by the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission, the EU participates in all discussions as a guest.  The role of host, known as the G7 presidency, rotates annually among member countries.
