The global meeting will be key to endorsing the new four-year strategy and governance of the Mountain Partnership and to initiate work on its implementation. It will also provide an opportunity for members from across the world to meet, network, present interesting initiatives and promote collaborative action in sustainable mountain development. The Mountain Partnership is a UN voluntary alliance of partners dedicated to improving the lives of mountain people and protecting mountain environments around the world. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the (FAO) acts as the central hub of the Secretariat of the Partnership.
