This forum is organized by the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), in collaboration with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the Global Gender and Climate Alliance (GGCA), IUCN, the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). The event will explore linkages between gender and climate issues, particularly in relation to the role of women as effective agents of change, and enhancing women’s capacities to address climate change.
