This first meeting of the Executive Committee of the UNFCCC Warsaw International Mechanism for Loss and Damage Associated with Climate Change Impacts is expected to discuss: vision and expectations of the Committee; rules of procedure of the Committee; two-year workplace of the Committee and the delivery of activities; arrangements for the operationalization of the Mechanism; and the annual report of the Executive Committee. The Loss and Damage Mechanism was established at the 19th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 19) in Warsaw, Poland, in 2013.
