The First International Conference on Afforestation and Reforestation will bring together policymakers, global experts, and industry representatives to discuss the challenges and opportunities related to afforestation and reforestation. The Conference will discuss the establishment of an African and global decade focused on afforestation and reforestation, with the aim of highlighting the critical role of forests in climate regulation.
The Conference is an initiative from the 2022 UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP 27), within the framework of the African and Global Decade of Afforestation and Reforestation (DAMAR).
