The United Nations Department of Public Information will organize the first annual Global Model UN conference in Geneva, Switzerland, from 5-7 August 2009. The event will target the best university-level students from Model UN programmes around the world. The theme for the first conference will be “The Millennium Developments Goals — Lifting the bottom billion out of poverty.”
