7-8 October 2014 Cambridge, England, UK
First Carbon-CAP Stakeholder Workshop

The first stakeholder workshop of the Carbon-CAP project will focus on the theme of 'The Role of Consumption-based Emissions in Climate Policy,' and will be funded by the EU's Seventh Programme for Research (FP7). Consortium members will present research results from the first year of the project. Experts from around the world will be invited to participate and contribute to maximizing the event output for the project's future work. Three sessions, held over two days, will include presentations on: carbon footprint models; options and business experience with consumption-based environmental policies; and interactive modeling of transformation scenarios. The Carbon-CAP project has two objectives: stimulating innovative European and international climate policies through improved knowledge based on consumption emissions; and realizing a more effective policy mix for moving to a competitive low-carbon economy in 2050.
