Expert Meeting on Guidance on Systems for Providing Information on How Safeguards for REDD-plus Activities are Addressed and Respected

This expert meeting is being held in response to a request by the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) that the Secretariat organize meetings of technical experts on matters identified by parties in relation to methodological guidance for activities relating to reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation and the role of conservation, sustainable management of forests and enhancement of forest carbon stocks in developing countries (REDD+). This expert meeting is being held on one of the issues identified: guidance on systems for providing information on how the safeguards referred for REDD+ activities are addressed and respected.
