Convened by the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), the main objective of this meeting is to provide expert input into the UNECA report on: Food Security on Africa: Key challenges, opportunities and policy options. Specifically, the meeting will review key findings and recommendations from sub-regional assessments as well as lessons learned from related policy responses and experiences. It also aims to critically examine key global-level factors affecting future food security.
